Notes |
| First Impression |
|
As a home haunt, this haunt is much different than other haunts in the Midsouth. As you pull up
you will see a front yard and house in a neighborhood. This season, the sign for the haunt is
much more visible and well lit. I found that to be an issue last year in trying to find the haunt,
so the change was immediately notcable. However, the decorations in the front are fairly sparce
this year when compared with last year, making things less of a mood setter before the haunt.

| Actors |
  |
Actors with this haunt have a far different technique than what you see at larger haunts. Usually,
a single actor is assigned to a room, and you will only see that actor once, with new actors for
each new room and scare. This haunt is set up to run with a small number of actors who rotate through
the haunt to scare guests over and over. This has a big advantage, as it gives more chances for the
actors to adapt, since they can identify who is most likely to be scared in a group or what techniques
are working early on, and use that information throughout the haunt. On the downside, this means only
single group of guests go through the haunt at a time, making for longer wait times when there is a
line. The throughput of the haunt is extremely low.

| Audio/Sensory |
 |
The haunt used less sensory stimulation this year. The background track wasn't there this season,
and a number of props and effects were scaled back this season.
|
| Special Effects |
 |
There were a few effects last year I was surprised to see in a home haunt including the glowing
radioactive scene and the talking skeleton. This year, not only were there not new effects added,
but some of the previous effects were no longer there.
|
| Theming and Storyline |
|
There really isn't a theme to the haunt, with the masks being pretty random, and very little in the
way of sets.
|
| Fright Factor |
|
The actors will work for scares, but with the lack of distractions, and with the short timespan of
the event, there is a limited opportunity for scares.
|
| Gore Factor |
 |
There isn't a lot of gore in this haunt. It is focused towards a teenage and younger audience.
|
| Value |
 |
At $7, this is one of the cheapest haunted attractions in the area. However, with the short time
of the attraction, and the limited scope of the event, it is not one of the best values for your
haunt dollar.
