Hauntedweb is actually two haunts at the same location. Each haunt has a very different feel, and both are unique among Memphis area haunts. Both not for profit haunts are completely staffed by volunteers to raise money for Youth Villages, a charitable organization that helps area children in need.

www.hauntedweb.com The first haunt is Torment (formerly called the Asylum). The setting is an insane Asylum, run by the equally insane and bloodthirsty Dr. Hacker. Guests must traverse their way through the dangers of the doctor, his staff, and the inmates.

After escaping the halls of the asylum, guests are still not all of the way to safety. Instead they must pass the redneck cannibals that have gathered behind the asylum to feast upon the leftover bits from the doctor's experiments.

Torment is an intense haunt, depending mostly on the inmates for scares, but it has been adding more high tech props added each year, including many things you won't find in any other area haunted attraction.

www.hauntedweb.com The second haunt at Hauntedweb is the The Dark Matter (formerly called the darkness). This haunt is filled with blacklights, visual effects, and lots of clowns. It's a very different experience than the asylum, or when compared to any other Memphis haunts with the 3D effects, bright colors, and circus theme.

This haunt was completely made over in 2010 to become a 100% 3D haunt and to greatly increase its size.
